Clinical supervision involves the joint engagement of the supervisor and supervisee. It is a co-creative, collaborative and empowering process that monitors the quality of client care, the supervisee’s therapeutic skills and facilitates the supervisee’s personal and professional growth. It is a process that safeguards the supervisee and their clients.
The supervisor provides a safe, creative space where she and the supervisee reflect on and explore aspects of the therapeutic relationship between the supervisee and their clients, leading to congruence.
